Under 16s Premier Squad 2011-2012 Season

Due to being unable to find a suitable head coach for the under 16 programme this year we have had to take the decision to amalgamate the under 16 squad with the under 18 Conference & Premier squads. We are very fortunate, with the excellent development work that has gone on previously with the under 16 age group with Rob Palmer, that the players are more than ready to be able to compete in the under 18 Conference and Premier divisions. On saying that it will still be a tough transition for the players to make a year before their time but this offers excellent development experience for the following season and this only re-enforces the club's policy of developing players to be able to compete at a higher level to bridge the gap between junior and senior basketball levels.

We intend this to be only for one season while we work on searching for a head coach for the under 16 squads for 2012/13 season. In the meantime all players who were going to be registered for the under 16 squad will now attend training at Nechells Community Sports Centre on Mondays 7pm - 9pm and Thursdays 7:30pm - 9pm.

Players are and will be assessed at training and placed in squads according to their skill level. The Head Coach for the conference squad will be Ed Baca and the Head Coach for the premier squad will be Paul Douglas.

Mondays: 7pm until 9pm
