CoB Schools Skill Challenge
" The City of Birmingham Basketball Club is starting a new schools initiative to find the best new talent by introducing the City of Birmingham Schools Skill Challenge. Up to 8 schools will be taking part by providing the best 16 athletes across their year groups and they will complete an 8 station skill circuit based on the core fundamental skills needed for basketball.
Once they have completed the skills circuit, their scores will be added to the
leader board on a weekly basis so they can see how good their results are compared to other athletes in the city.
The player with the top overall score after all schools have taken part will receive a free scholarship to play for the club, which means that all costs for games, training and kit will be taken care of for the 2012/13 season.
If you are interested in your school taking part, then please contact the club and we will arrange for our coaching team to deliver the skill circuit or if you are interested in joining the club then again, send us an email and we will contact you."
